Old Boy Gerald Sinclair (ON 1950) contacted the ONU to share his work with the Order of The Fleur de Lys and to encourage fellow Old Boys to participate.

Formed in 1439 when the Scottish were helping the French in the time of Rene D’Anjou and Jeanne D’Arc, fight the British, the Order is now a registered charity in UK and Australia which has its major investiture ceremony and formal dinner in October each year at the Queen’s Chapel and Queen’s Hall at Cambridge University UK.
There will be an initial annual muster for the Southern Cross Company in Australia on Saturday 3rd March 2018 at the Burleigh Waters Masonic Lodge, 6 First Avenue, Gold Coast, Queensland commencing at 5 pm.
the No 6 Southern Cross Company which encompasses Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific, is currently being formed by its Knight Commander Right Noble Chevalier Gerald Sinclair KCL, B.St.J.A, B.Comm (Economics) who is alo the Vice Regent for the area and one of 7 members of the Executive Council that meets in Cambridge each year.

There are 4 Companies in UK, 1 in USA & 1 in Belgium as well.
Titles awarded are post nominal i,e after members name, so men who are promoted to Chevalier (French for Knight) are entitled to use KL (Knight of the Lys)and women promoted to Dames DL (Dame of the Lys)post nominally.
Women make up nearly 50% of the Order’s members, the Patron of the Order, Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia a cousin of the Queen being one as is the Charity head Right Noble Countess Hermione de Montgomery, wife of the the Sovereign Grand Commander Most Noble Chevalier Professor Comte Hugh de Montgomery a member of the famous Montgomery family that produced Field Marshal Montgomery of WW2 fame.
No secret oaths just allegiance to the Commander and no necessity for too many physical meetings due to the tyranny of distance here (we already have a Knight & a Dame in Perth 4,000 km away!) and the use of a new revolutionary Australian designed App for communication.

Members of the Order are expected to live by Medieval Knighthood Chivalric principles:-
