The 118th Old Newingtonians’ Union (ONU) Annual General Meeting was held on Tuesday 19 November and was attended by ONU Councillors, Old Boys and past and present staff. Mr James Jordan (ON 1981) presented his final annual report as ONU President after three years in the Chair.

James was responsible for a raft of admirable initiatives during his term as President, most notably raising awareness of and funds for the ONU Depression fund via the Newington Golf Day. The ONU Depression Fund has been established to provide confidential financial support for the treatment of depression for members of the ONU family and is administered by Mr Stan Comino.

The College also acknowledged a further donation of $295,000 by the ONU, bringing to a total of $670,000 that has been donated by the ONU towards both the Sesquicentenary Capital Campaign and Bursaries.
