Water Polo

Anthony Hrysanthos (11/ME) (featured above) has successfully captained the NSW Schoolboys side to 1st place and won the Most Outstanding Player Of The Tournament Award. He and James Smith (11/KL) have capped off a brilliant season with selection into the Australian Schoolboys side to tour New Zealand in December. Congratulations to both boys.

Fencing

Boston Fawkes (8/ME) (pictured below, far right) has won the 2012 State Championships U15 Boys Sabre. With Jasper Rowley (11/ME) unavailable due to injury, Boston represented Newington College in the Schoolboys Senior Sabre Championship on 12th May winning the Gold Medal from rivals Reddam House and Sydney Boys High. On 20th May, Boston came away with another win in the closely contested U15 Mens Sabre NSW Championship (the Angelo Santangelo Shield).

Three of our boys, Alex Mei (10/JN), Justin Tran (9/PR) and Jean-Luc Gallo (9/MO) will be representing NSW and Newington College at the National School Championship U15 Individual Foil event on 16-17 June 2012. Good luck in Brisbane boys.

Football

Congratulations to Muhammad Asad (12/KL), James Holland (11/FL), Stephen Hrysanthos (12/ME), Matt Severino (12/JN) and Seung Woo (11/JN) who have been selected to trial for the CIS Football team. Best of luck to you all.
