On Saturday 28 April the Newington College Jazz Combo were invited to Eastside Radio to give a live in-studio performance. The band played an hour long session for the Eastside youth program, Jazz in Continuum.

“I was completely bowled over by the talents of the Newington College Jazz Combo, who played fabulously well today live in the studio” said presenter Sue Thompson, who was glowing in praise for the Combo.

“And…they have the added status of being the first EVER live band in our brand new studio!  Congratulations all round. These guys WILL definitely be back!”

Bravo to the boys and their fantastic Director, Mr Greg Burgett. As a result of their success, the Jazz Combo have been invited to do another broadcast next term and several of the boys have even been invited to guest host the radio show.
