Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we come to the end of Week 7 in an 11-week term some of the boys are tiring and, in some cases, forgetting what is expected of them. The majority are of course travelling along well, are engaged in the classroom and doing all that we would ask of them. Our senior boys are coming into a very busy assessment period and will continue to feel the pressure that accompanies such assessments. As parents, controlling what you can control is important, and this includes their diet, the amount of socialising they are doing, and where possible, their sleep.
This weekend marks the final round of summer sport which culminates next weekend with the GPS Head of the River. I wish all our year 12’s the very best as they take the field, court or dive into the pool for the last time for Newington and thank them and all the parents for their support and taxi services over the years. Winter training begins in earnest next week for our Year 7 boys and over the coming fortnight for boys in Years 8-12.
Enjoy the weekend.
