Dear Parents and Guardians,

Welcome back. It was great to see so many of you with your boys at Administration Day on Tuesday.  I would like to extend an especially warm welcome to all our new families in Years 7-11. 

In exciting news, our new Year 12 Study Centre opened this week.  The centre offers our Year 12 boys a quiet area (Prescott Hall) along with space dedicated to discussion groups (the Headmaster’s old office) and other areas for reading, quiet conversations and contemplation.  Today is day two and the boys are already utilising these new areas and what they have to offer.

Assembly on Wednesday reinforced to our boys that 2020 is an opportunity for a fresh start, and we have encouraged all our students to reflect on what they want to achieve.  I have asked your son’s teachers to recognise that your son may want, and in some cases need, to consider change.  I have urged the boys to start strongly in their classes by thinking about where they sit in the classroom and with whom. 

We have also asked our boys to be kind and look out for our new staff and students, and to bring exemplary behaviour, support for their friends and service to the community to the fore.

With great hearts, inspired minds, strong wings and firm foundations we begin 2020.
