Dear parents and guardians,
Behind the scenes we have been discussing what Term 3 will look like for our boys, parents and staff. Keeping the 4 square metre rule in place, we will reintroduce assemblies, which will once again allow us to publicly recognise the outstanding achievements of our boys and hear from our senior leaders. We have rescheduled co-curricular photos, and boys will attend Newington Challenge and Cadet camps at the end of the term. It is also our goal to resume the P&F Speaker series and the Ethics Centre lectures but we first need to be cleared to have parents back on campus.
As we come to the end of an extraordinary first semester, I would like to again thank the boys for their adaptability and hard work and ask them to finish the term well. A quiet reminder from you on uniform standards and behaviour on public transport would be appreciated.
To start a conversation in your home tonight I am going to leave you with The Battle of English and Mathematics.
One rabbit saw nine elephants while going to the river. Every elephant saw four monkeys going to the river. Each monkey had one tortoise in each hand.
Question: How many animals are going to the river? The answer will be revealed next week.
Enjoy the weekend and the last week of term.
