Dear parents and guardians,
One more day to go! We will end the term with our annual celebration of Heritage Day. We encourage all boys to wear national dress and to enjoy a fundraising BBQ hosted by our senior leaders and members of the SRC at lunch time. Proceeds will go to our brothers at Tupou College.
During the holidays we will be holding training for all winter sports in preparation for the return to winter sport fixtures in Term 3. Sport is an integral part of Newington life, and something we have all missed enormously this year. We look forward to seeing our boys back in action soon.
Congratulations to our 2020 Athletics Captains: Tolu Koula – Captain; Quentin Lemoto and Nicholas Atkinson – Vice Captains.
Our Term 2 parent/teacher interviews are now complete. Parents of boys in Years 7, 8 and 10 will soon receive information from Mr Trent Driver, Deputy Head of Stanmore (Academic) explaining the format for the subject selection information evenings in Weeks 1 and 2 of Term 3.
One last thing – the answer to last week’s riddle is 13. Did you get the right answer? (One rabbit, four monkeys and eight tortoises went to the river).
I hope you enjoy the break and perhaps get to visit some of NSW’s wonderful holiday spots. We look forward to seeing the boys back on campus on Monday 20 July.
