Dear Parents and Guardians,

Over the past few weeks our Year 7 boys have been involved in a Challenge Based Learning Project on sustainability.  This topic was chosen quite deliberately to monitor and evaluate what we use, what we can re-use, and what we can recycle.  If we are to expect our young men to contribute to our world in sustainable ways in the years to come, they must be educated in the logic and the science of sustainability.  

At this week’s assembly, we congratulated our Drama Leaders – Tim Latif (Captain), Zac Newton (Vice Captain) and Chess Leaders – Justin Ting (Captain), Victor Dai (Vice Captain).  We look forward to their leadership in 2015.

Sadly there is theft and individuals who let you down in every community.  Some money was taken from the change rooms whilst the boys were at sport last week. We encourage all boys to secure their valuables in their lockers during sport and PE lessons.

This week also saw our AGMs for the Parents and Friends Association and the Old Newingtonians’ Union.  We are grateful for the tireless volunteer work that both of these Associations do for the school, and in particular for the Stanmore campus.
