Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week the Year 10 Civics History classes visited the Sydney Jewish Museum as part of their study of the Holocaust.  It was a confronting exhibition and the words of Anne Frank made a deep impression on the boys and myself.  In November 1944, Anne wrote in her diary ‘How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world’. The reality for Anne was that she and her Jewish family were in hiding for two years during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands.  Anne demonstrated hope, optimism and the courage to care during perilous times. Given our good fortune we should all aspire to Anne’s vision.
