Dear Parents and Guardians,
Congratulations to all our athletes on their fine performances at the 120th AAGPS Athletics Championships last Saturday. We had some tremendous results, with the Juniors winning the ‘Ladies Challenge Plate’ for the twelfth time in its history. I thank all staff and parents for their support on the day and commend the boys on their exemplary behaviour and esprit de corps.
On another encouraging note may I commend our Year 12 Senior Leaders on their Nepalese fundraising initiatives. Today the school was full of colour and energy as we united to raise funds in support of our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Nepal. At Newington leadership is most certainly about service to others and the boys have been wonderful role models this week.
I wish the Year 12 IB cohort every success as they approach their forthcoming examinations.
