Dear Parents and Guardians,
Our new Senior Prefect, Jack Jacobs, gave a stirring speech at yesterday’s assembly when he introduced the Year 12, 2016 slogan ‘Value you, Support him, Stand with her‘. I urge all parents to read Jack’s speech attached below which explains the Year 12 vision that all boys maintain their self worth and dignity, continue to focus on friendship and service and finally correct a longstanding injustice by tackling the important issue of gender equality.
I would like to thank all the boys who participated in ‘Think Pink’ Day to show their support for women who are fighting cancer. I am proud to be a ‘Newington man’, but more importantly a ‘man of substance’ when I see the boys unite together for a worthy cause.
