Dear Parents and Guardians,
2011 Newington Medallist, Mr Steve Finau (ON 1966), was our guest of honour at assembly yesterday. Mr Finau reminded the boys of the enormous opportunities they have at Newington and how proud he is that the College continues to produce men full of compassion and grace. He later had dinner with the boarders and shared some wonderful memories of his 10 years as a boarder from Tonga.
On another positive note we announced the following boys as captains of their respective summer sports: Basketball – Grant Anticevich, Cricket – Lachlan Hodges, Rowing – Dominic Gilchrist, Tennis – Daiki Tanabe, Water Polo – Rory Williams.
Finally I wish Years 7 and 10 all the best for their exams which commence next week.
