Dear Parents and Guardians,
I trust everyone had a relaxing Easter break and with just over a week to go until holidays the boys have still been very busy. The Year 12 boys have been coping well with their half yearly exams and are preparing for their retreat next week. My thanks must go to the Heads of House who have been busy finalising arrangements with the boys’ Mentors. I look forward to visiting my first retreat and seeing firsthand how the program unfolds.
Mr Meakin and I spoke with the Year 11 boys today about their responsibilities around the school, and how these responsibilities extend beyond the school gates. Please take some time to speak with your sons, whether they be in Year 7 or Year 12, about their obligations when on public transport. Our boys are expected to vacate their seats for adult passengers. It should be said that we do hear a lot of positive commentary about our boys’ behaviour, but we do also hear from members of the public who describe behaviours that we as a school, and you as parents, would be disappointed in.
The first full round of winter sport commences this weekend against Waverley and the boys have been training hard. Good luck to all teams and I look forward to meeting more parents on the sideline.
