Dear Parents and Guardians,

Congratulations to all our boys who performed at Rockfest on Saturday. It was a wonderful night of creativity and energy as the boys showcased their talents. On Sunday our Intermediate Theatresports team consisting of Simon James, Ben Taylor, Nicholas Fitzsimmons, Oscar Gresham and Finn Hoegh-Guldberg came fourth in the State Championships, whilst our Senior team comprising Jeremi Campese, Elliot Ulm (Year 12) and Lachlan McIntyre (Year 10) came second. I, along with many colleagues, parents and students were very fortunate to be in the audience to see these wonderfully talented students perform.

Yesterday at assembly I spoke to the boys and congratulated them on their achievements over the term. For most of our boys the break will allow them some much needed rest, but for our Year 12 boys I encouraged them to maintain their momentum. Now is not the time to lose focus on their studies given they are in the homeward stretch. Our Library will be open in the last week of holidays to assist our students as they prepare for their trials and I urge the boys to take advantage of the support on offer.

This term we farewell Mrs Zoe Cookson (maternity leave), Mr Wayne Cox (LSL), Ms Amy Wilson (covering for Ms Jessica Christian) and Mr Geoff Wren (covering for Mr Warwick Gibson). I thank them for their dedication to our boys and wish them all the best.

It has been a busy term with so many events and sporting fixtures, but the boys have managed to maintain their energy until the end. I wish all staff, students and families a safe and enjoyable mid-year break.
