Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you have had an enjoyable break, and your boys are well rested and ready for a busy term ahead.
The Tongan Tour, which took place at the end of last term to celebrate Tupou College’s Sesquicentenary, was a great success and I thank all staff and students who attended. During the holidays there has certainly been a lot of activity on campus with many tours, holiday camps and play rehearsals being run. I would like to thank all the staff who ran these activities, or opened classrooms these holidays, for giving up their time and I hope that the boys have enjoyed the many opportunities on offer.
On Monday, 18 July the King and Queen of Tonga will officially open our new buildings. This is an exciting time for Newington and it is an honour for our boys to be able to participate in this event. I have sent an email to all boys alerting them of the special arrangements which are in place for Monday. Please ensure your son checks his email and is aware of these arrangements.
I look forward to the term ahead, and the energy and contribution that the boys will bring to our school community.
