Dear Parents and Guardians,
Compared to the normal Newington week things have been relatively quiet this week on the senior campus. Year 11’s and 12’s are in examinations and the younger boys are in classes doing as they should be. Senior teachers have their heads down marking the many papers that students are churning through, hoping that the quality of their feedback can add value to their students final examination preparation.
The Headmaster, myself and others are meeting various candidates for next year’s teaching positions that were have recently advertised. We are very conscious that the quality of our school cannot exceed the quality of its teachers and so we invest a lot of time in this process. We have also spent some time analysing the valuable feedback received in the recent parent survey and I thank the many parents who responded.
Summer Sports season has begun in earnest but I know many families enjoyed the rest from Saturday sport last weekend.
