Dear Parents and Guardians,

It has been a very positive start to the term and I congratulate all boys on how quickly they have settled back into routine. On Tuesday we held our Full College Prefect Assembly, and I congratulate all boys who achieved Full College Prefect. This system of leadership works as we say it will; it provides the opportunity for the whole year group to set the tone and lead the school, and it provides a rich and diverse leadership style amongst our senior boys. My colleagues and I look forward to working closely with what has already shown itself to be a talented group of new Year 11s (now Year 12s) in the coming year.

We also acknowledged our School Leaders for 2017 and I would like to congratulate the following boys: Thomas Hogan (11/KL) – Senior Boarding Prefect, Lachlan Reid (11/ME) and Mai Tolu (11/FL) – Deputy Senior Boarding Prefects; Fletcher House: Ashutosh Bidkar (C), Lewis Ansell and Mitchell Fitzsimmons (VC); Johnstone House: Henry Mellor (C), Matthew Bramich and Zak Knight (VC); Kelynack House: George Burley (C), Finian Casey and Zac Kertesz (VC); Le Couteur House: Daniel Steel (C), Massimo Marchese and Richard Zhang (VC); Manton House: Mitchell Loveridge (C), Shen Goh and Jason Ren (VC); Metcalfe House: Anton Maraldo (C), Ashley Bate and Evan Favos (VC); Moulton House: Christos Tatsis (C), Matthias Laubi and Thomas Rasmussen (VC); Prescott House: Stavros Dedes (C), Nicholas Peppercorn and Lachlan White (VC). Some of our 2017 leaders were away on camp on Tuesday so we will have an opportunity to acknowledge them in the next assembly.

The summer sports season starts in earnest this weekend. I wish all boys good luck, but more importantly I hope they enjoy their sport and display good sportsmanship and team camaraderie both on and off the field.
