Dear Parents and Guardians,

This week we have had the pleasure of hosting visitors from Tupou College Tonga, Rev. Saimonita (Simon) Paongo, Deputy Principal (Academic), and his wife Sina.

Simon is here to explore curriculum options, observe lessons and be exposed to our teaching methods, along with discussing our Professional Development initiatives and performance management of staff.

Their visit has given the staff and boys at Newington the opportunity to repay the generosity of spirit and kindness displayed to our touring party when we visited in July of this year.  There is no doubt that Newington College is better for its ongoing relationship with our brother school and we will continue to build our partnership in the coming years as the benefits to both parties are undeniable.

In closing I would like to congratulate our Year 12 boys on the completion of their trial exams and wish everyone a very happy Father’s Day this Sunday 3 September.
