Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope you have all had an enjoyable holiday. I look forward to welcoming the boys back next week. I would like to thank our Maintenance and Grounds staff for the work they have done during the break; the school looks magnificent for the boys return on Monday.
I would also like to thank the staff who accompanied boys on tours over the holiday. We had tours overseas to Japan, China and South Africa, and within Australia to Perth, Canberra, Newcastle and Malabar. The boys were wonderful ambassadors for the College.
A reminder that boys return to school in Week B. They should be in full winter uniform, have neat and tidy haircuts and be clean shaven. If they are Cadets, they should be prepared for the Monday afternoon run-through for our ANZAC Parade the next morning. I invite all parents and guardians to join us on the Johnson Oval at 8.30am on Tuesday 1 May for our ANZAC service.
On Wednesday, the STEM Festival begins. For three days, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects will veer off the well-worn curriculum into areas that are, well, a little less traditional. This year we are inviting all parents and guardians to get “hands-on” during the Festival. It is a chance to go back to school to experience STEM subjects like never before. I invite you to be part of the STEM Festival by registering here.
As you can see by the events scheduled in Week 1, it is going to be another wonderful term for our boys to “discover what’s possible”.
