Dear Parents and Guardians,
I just spoke with Jeremi Campese, one of our Deputy Senior Prefects, about our musical Spamalot which I am attending tonight. I hope many of you are able to get along to one of the performances. The boys are very excited and enjoyed a wonderful dress rehearsal last night. The opportunity to be front of stage, backstage, in the band or in the crew, and to work with students from PLC and MLC adds to the rich tapestry that is the Newington experience. I am very quickly coming to understand that our school is not simply a school that does one thing superbly; the thespians, musicians and athletes are all equally encouraged and celebrated in our community.
The increased prevalence of the renaissance man within the Newington community is something of which we are justifiably proud of. Quite deliberately our students will not all be moulded into the same person; but I can assure you that my colleagues and I will hold each other and the boys to the high standards that both you as parents and we as teaching professionals value alike.
