Dear Parents and Guardians,

We were privileged to have both the 2015 Newington Medal Recipients, Dr David Lo AM (ON 1953) and Mr Ben Swane AM (ON 1944) address our boys at assembly yesterday. Both shared some wonderful and humorous stories about their fascinating lives and their time at Newington. They encouraged the boys to take full advantage of the wonderful opportunities that Newington offers them, but more importantly to ensure that they enjoy what they are doing along the way.

I congratulate the First XVI, led by Adam Goodman, for the way they harnessed the energy, passion and school pride in ‘pumping up’ the boys in preparation for the Head of the River next week. I look forward to my first Head of the River, not only because I know our rowers will do us proud, but also because it brings our school community together to support, encourage and celebrate the achievements of others. The Black and White army is alive and flourishing!
