Dear Parents and Guardians,
I thank the Year 10 boys for the way they have conducted themselves during the examination week. The library space has been used well by our students and they have respected the learning needs of others through keeping it a quiet space. Your sons will be learning a lot about themselves, specifically how they manage stress around the examinations and how they best prepare for these major assessment tasks. I encourage you to spend some time reflecting on what went well at home during this time, and what changes need to be made for the next examination period. Setting clear expectations around the home environment alleviates the potential conflict that can arise.
This Sunday over 420 boys have volunteered to support the Red Shield appeal. This is an overwhelming response and we desperately need another 30 drivers to escort the boys to their nominated locations. Please consider giving up 2 hours of your Sunday morning to help those less fortunate. Please contact the Head of Service Learning, Mr Mick Madden via the link below.
I would like to thank the P&F for a very successful Parent Seminar on Tuesday night with Dr Paula Robinson which focussed on building resilience in our young men to not only assist in preventing the rising levels of mental illness among adolescents, but also to improve their quality of life.
