Dear Parents and Guardians,

May I take this opportunity to thank the Newington community for the tremendous support given to last Sunday’s Red Shield Appeal. 330 boys were supported by 105 parent and staff drivers. Together they raised a total of $21,500 on the day. This is an outstanding achievement and I would like to congratulate our boys on a superb job and thank them for being such wonderful ambassadors.

This week we have been entertained each lunch time by the boys who are auditioning for Rockfest. Today saw a Year 7 band playing a song by the Kinks, and then a senior band littered with some very talented musicians played a David Bowie number which was well received by all. Chris Paton has done a wonderful job organising this event. I invite all parents to attend the Rockfest Finals on Saturday 18 June.
