Dear Parents and Guardians,
At yesterday’s assembly we acknowledged our Junior, Intermediate and Senior Athletics boys who will represent the school in Saturday’s AAGPS Competition. Wednesday was a big day for Deputy Senior Prefect, Jeremi Campese who, in the morning at the Athletics Breakfast interviewed two-time Olympian and Gold Medallist, Murray Stewart, before giving an inspiring speech to the boys encouraging them to embrace every opportunity that is before them at school, as he reflected on the work the athletes had undertaken to prepare for Saturday’s competition. Along with Alexander Barrat’s previous 12th Man speech, Jeremi again spoke of how much it means to the boys in having the school stand behind them. We wish all boys competing the best of luck and look forward to supporting them on the day.
We also had the opportunity to present House Honour Colours and Gold Service Learning Awards to some 40 boys. Congratulations to all those boys on their achievements and the many hours they have committed to volunteering in a range of charities. A special mention must also go to Peter Zavvos (12/FL) who was the National winner of the Australian Economics and Business Studies Competition.
