Dear Parents and Guardians,
Welcome to Term 3 2018. I hope you enjoyed the mid-year break and I look forward to seeing our boys back at College on Monday.
In true Newington form, we have another busy term ahead of us. World Languages Week starts on Monday and will include activities ranging from Chinese breakfasts to archaeological talks to flamenco. Our annual Founders Concert will be held on Monday 30 July and promises to be one of the best yet. Centre for Ethics lectures continue with Dr Caroline West speaking on the topic “The Philosophy of Happiness” on Wednesday 1 August.
The Newington P&F Ball – always a night to remember – will be held on Saturday 1 September. One of the highlights of the Newington calendar, Back to Newington Day, is on Saturday 11 August, and we look forward to seeing families and friends there. Our Year 7 Father/Son Breakfast will be held on Friday 7 September. Add to that Sport and Co-curricular activities, subject information evenings and Year 11 and 12 exams and yes, it will be another busy term.
Our 2019 Senior Leaders will be selected this term as we farewell Year 12 2018. There is an extensive program of events planned for the boys and these will be communicated to all Year 12 parents and guardians mid-term.
Finally, a reminder to boys to return to the College in full blazer uniform, cleanly shaven and with neat and tidy hair.
