Dear Parents and Guardians,
Former Harlem Globetrotter and internationally acclaimed transformational speaker Tracy A Williams was our special guest at assembly on Wednesday. Tracy is the Global Ambassador for “Charity Bounce”, the Moulton House charity.
He spoke to the boys about “significance”: the quality of being worthy of attention. He urged our boys to leave a legacy, to train their brains and be confident in answering the questions “how much love did you leave in the world and how much service did you give?” when their time on earth comes to an end.
It was a wonderful segue to the launch of Moulton’s charity event and the presentation of Gold Service Learning Certificates. Fifty-eight boys in Years 11 and 12 were awarded certificates. Each of the boys has demonstrated a commitment to serving the needs of both their College and, more importantly, their extended local communities. To achieve the Gold level, their service efforts have been assessed as “gold standard” in terms of application, time and initiative. Well done boys!
I would like to take this opportunity to wish our Year 11 and 12 boys all the very best for their examination period which starts tomorrow, and to invite the parents of our Year 12 boys to visit the Farewell Year 12, 2018 insite if they have not done so already.
Congratulations to our newly named 2018 Athletics Captain James Roach (12/MA) and our Vice Captains Matt Dyster (12/FL) and Lachlan Watson (12/FL). The boys will lead our Athletics team as they compete on Saturday in the first Athletics Invitational Meet of the season. We wish all our boys every success.
On Monday Years 7-10 will take part in the House Athletics Carnival. The boys will attend Period 1, 2 and Mentor as normal and take to the field at 11am for what is always a great day at the College.
Enjoy the weekend ahead.
