Dear Parents and Guardians,
Yesterday was our first Canines of the College Day – and a great day it was! Twenty-five staff members brought their ‘best friends’ to work, with ‘oodles’ outnumbering other breeds. The dogs were out and about before school, during recess and at lunch and were available for pats as our Year 11 and 12 boys started and completed exams. Our thanks to Mr Parker for introducing this wellbeing initiative.
There is a lot happening tomorrow. The day will kick off with the Year 7 Father/Son Breakfast at 7.00am. It will be the last day of exams for Years 11 and 12 and the final parade for Cadets, an event that will be followed by the annual Cadets Dinner. The parade and dinner are both spectacular events.
Next week students and staff will vote for their 2020 senior leaders. This vote will result in leadership interviews and the announcement of the 2020 Senior Prefects on Friday 27 September. It is a day our current senior leaders Mark Elwaw, Ben Leung and Jack Walker will remember vividly. The three boys, under the banner ‘In white and black, we’ve got your back’, have been a formidable team over the past year. They have led by example, have been true ‘men of substance’ and have been instrumental in the College’s strong focus on R U Ok Day which will be highlighted at assembly next week.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the athletics track on Saturday.
