Faith Matters

God wants to be known, but not in a way that overwhelms us, that takes away the possibility of love freely given. “God is like a person who clears his throat whilst hiding and so gives himself away,” says Meister Eckhart.
You’ll never know where he will turn up, or whom he’ll speak through, or what unlikely scenario he’ll use for his purpose.

He came unexpectedly as a child in a feed trough. He died as a criminal, a curse man as some were filled with sorrow and others were filled with self-satisfaction. After the resurrection, Mary Magdalene was looking right at him but thought he was a gardener.

Where is God? He’s closer than you think.
