K – 2 Artist of the Week

Artists of the Week are Phoenix Thompson (KV) and Sam Gallant (KL)

Phoenix is to be commended on his care and perseverance in making an echidna from paper clay and found materials. The resulting sculpture is an impressive creation.

Sam listened to the story of Noah’s Ark. He imagined, then painted a scene with the ark floating in a vast, rainy, watery sea. His use of expressive line deserves special mention.

Final Artists of the Week for 2014 are Alan Li (2F) and Samuel Creighton (2F) for their intricately woven fibre mat in colours of the ocean, Jude Davidson (2S) for a creatively designed intaglio print of swirling water and Lewis Saupin (2S) for his neatly woven work using paper.
