Dear Parents

I am writing to request your support with volunteering at our school Tuckshop. We have a group of dedicated and reliable parents helping us (some who have been volunteering for years!), but lately we are finding that some volunteers are not showing up for their shift, which puts pressure on the people who are there to help.

We need reliable helpers from 10.00am – 1.30pm Tuesday to Friday each week. Volunteers and their boys receive a free lunch. The days that we are most in need of volunteers are Tuesdays and Fridays.

We are lucky that the Tuckshop is open every day and many parents rely on this service weekly, if not daily. If we continue to be short of volunteers we will either close one or two days per week or we will need to pay for staff and increase prices to cover this cost, which we desperately want to avoid.

If you have put your name down for a shift and something comes up that prevents you from attending, that’s understandable, but please, please contact the front office as soon as you know you can’t make it, as we can do an urgent call out to other volunteers or we can at least be better prepared to be short-staffed.

You can volunteer once only or regularly at your discretion. You can also arrange to volunteer on the same day as a friend. If you can help please email Dyanne Wayling on dwayling@bigpond.net.au .
