A Message from Mr Holden
Welcome back to what promises to be a very full and active Term 4. Please refer to the latest Term 4 Parent Calendar (available via Wyvern Spaces) for all details.
NEW ZEALAND RUGBY AND SOCCER TOUR
During the spring break Mr Wilson, Mr Brunton, Mr Hazleton and Mr Caulfield led a very successful Wyvern and Lindfield rugby, soccer and cultural tour to New Zealand. The boys represented the school with enormous pride and should be congratulated for their superb spirit and fine conduct. I thank our staff who accompanied the tour for looking after the boys so well.
2016 CLASS ALLOCATION
The process for allocating student to their 2016 classes is well underway. It is my intention to inform you of your son’s new 2016 class before the end of this term. Boys will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher on “One-Up Morning” on 3rd December. Please note that the deadline for parent input into the process has now passed and unfortunately, as such, I cannot consider any further requests.
NO SPORT ON MONDAY
Due to the swimming program in Term 4 there will only be sports training for Year 3 –Year 6 on Wednesday afternoons. Boys in Year 3-6 may wear their PE uniform to school on this day. Note, there is no Monday sports training this term.
END OF THE DAY
The end of the school day is a very busy time, and for safety and security reasons we do request for parents not to enter the school building (unless they have a specific appointment) but rather wait for their sons in the designated area (Playground A). Also, parents should not access the building via foot, through the car park entry. Thank you for your co-operation with this matter.
PREMIER’S MEDAL
Luke Canter from Year 5 has recently been awarded a Premier’s medal for achieving the State’s highest mark in the ICAS Writing assessment. Well done to Luke for this very significant recognition.
Finally, I wish the Year 3 students and staff a very successful two day school camp at Narrabeen Sport and Recreation Centre next week. Such activities present wonderful learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
