K – 2 Artist of the Week
Khai Vu 1P
In Visual Arts, Khai has been exploring the use of colour, pattern and line. He explored circle painting techniques to add layer upon layer of colour and pattern to create a vibrant and energised artwork that represents a celebration. Fantastic work, Khai!

Year 3
Year 3 have spent quite a long time completing their bats, based upon the work of Lin Onus. Students were asked to observe the bats that were made out of wood and polymer and displayed on a hills hoist. Congratulations to Oscar Shaw who was able to complete this beautiful drawing and a well thought out border design.
Year 4
Year 4 have been studying ships and pirates as part of their unit on Exploration. Boys observed the work of Sally Smart, and were able to manipulate a variety of materials to create an interesting and quirky Skeleton Pirate ship Collage. Congratulations to Charlie Roberts and Benjamin Burshtein for a great piece of artwork.
Year 5
Year 5 have completed their artworks for the topic of ‘100 Amazing Journeys’. The boys were taken through a number of classical techniques including the proportions of the human form. They then used these ideas to create their own character for their journey artwork. All the boys in Year 5 have taken great pride in producing these artworks. Congratulations go to Hugo McGann, Sam Hallit and Edward Haslem for their outstanding thinking during this project.
