A Message from Mr Holden
It was terrific to see wonderful team spirit and camaraderie on display at the very successful Swimming Carnival yesterday. There were many impressive individual and team performances as well as great determination and effort shown by all boys. I also thank the many parents who attended for their wonderful support. The staff team, ably led by Mr Brunton, Mr Martin and Mr Wilson, ensured the day ran smoothly; my thanks to them.
Parent Teacher Meetings in 2017
In week 6 of this term there will be an opportunity for you to meet with your son’s teachers, primarily with the aim to discuss and set learning targets for the year. An email invitation will be sent out next week for you to book your first meeting time for either Tuesday 7 March, 3:30pm – 6:30pm or Thursday 9 March, 3:30pm – 6:30pm.
Camp Out
This evening students and staff from Year 5 will have a ‘Camp-Out’ at the Senior School campus. We are particularly grateful to a number of Senior Students, from the Newington Challenge Program, who will assist the Wyvern boys with team building activities and camp site set up. Year 3 will enjoy a sleepover at Wyvern later this term. The intention of such activities is to build greater independence in our boys and to assist with the integration of our new intake of students with their cohort. I hope all gain much from the experience.
Ian Holden
Head of Wyvern
