A Message from Mr Holden
The term is rapidly slipping away and as we eye the end of term, I am pleased to provide an update about some of our end of term events.
During Week 7 (23 – 27 November) we will hold our K-2 Presentation Ceremonies and Sports Awards Assembly. These will all be live streamed with parents receiving invites in the coming days.
On Friday 4 December we are planning to have our 3-6 Annual Prize Giving Day at 8.45am as an outside event at the senior school. This means that we are able to invite one parent per 3-6 family to attend. We will also live stream this event and invites with a link will be sent out soon. In the event of wet weather, we will relocate to Centenary Hall where, unfortunately only a limited number of parents and students will be able to attend (Prize winners and Year 6 students with one parent for each family). Let’s keep fingers crossed for a sunny day! The end of the 3-6 Prize Giving ceremony marks the official end of the school year.
I am pleased to share some exciting news that another Wyvern student, Robert Walker, has been awarded a NSW Young Scientist of the Year Award. I would also like to acknowledge the wonderful efforts of Zachary Amirian’s community service through the ‘Kids Giving Back’ charity.
Finally, the school took a few moments on 11 November at 11:00am to mark Remembrance Day. Seeing all boys, from Kindy through to our eldest students, observing a minute’s silence with respect and sincerity was a fitting way to pay tribute to the great sacrifices made by service men and women in past conflicts.
