Artist of the Week
Weeks 5 and 6
K-2
Rocco Vitalone of Year 1 drew the shape of a crab and used orange, skin tone and purple oil pastel to colour it in. He then cleverly blended the colours with a white top coat to create an effect that looked like a real crab shell.
Years 3-6
Taliesin Armstrong and Bryce Lenthall in Year 6,were awarded certificates for their original and expressive ‘Olympian’ sculptures. The boys first created a posed wire figure armature (interior frame) attached to a CD spigot, then covered and extended it with plaster bandages. They gave their artworks a metallic finish with carefully applied acrylic paint.
