K-2 Artists of the Week

Year 1 have been looking at how they can represent forces of nature in creative ways.  They have explored the work of Hokusai and focused their attention on his use of line and colour before creating their own versions of a great wave.  Liam Johnston, Christian Macdessi, Ali Yassine and Ren Clarke used mixed media and a variety of paint and paper techniques to add interesting layers to their artwork.

3-6 Artists of the Week

The Artist of the Week comes from Year 4 this week. Year 4 have been busy studying the BMW art car series and the art movement ‘Pop Art’. The boys observed various sports cars in the playground and then made them into ‘Art Cars’. We then studied the Pop Art movement and Roy Lichtenstein’s BMW Art car. They then combined these two art practices into an amazing artwork.

We thank all the amazing people who brought their fantastic cars into playground A for the boys to draw them. Here are some photos of the incursion at the beginning of term.
