Calling for STEM parents, friends and family!

In Term 3 2021 Wyvern will hold an inaugural P&F funded STEM festival for all K-6 students. The dates are 17 – 27 August 2021, this coincides with National Science week https://www.scienceweek.net.au/. Please email Sarah Capolupo (P&F Event Coordinator) at p&fwyvern@newington.nsw.edu.au if you can offer some time to speak with Year 5 and 6 students about STEM related careers. This includes all parents, family or friends with links to STEM career paths. Areas could include science, engineering, mathematics, environmental or design and technology fields. Since the theme for this year’s National Science Week is, “Food – different by design,” we would be keen to involve families with a technological or scientific knowledge base linked to the food or food production industry.

Please let Sarah know by next Friday 21 May if you wish to offer your time and expertise to our students to ensure a passion and continued interest in all things STEM at Wyvern.
