The Newington Chess Championship team had a very successful term, playing in the Inter-School Chess Competition against other schools including Summer Hill, Trinity Grammar, Rozelle and Abbotsford. The team consisted of 4 players, Keiren Casey, Kim Long Lam, Hamish Thompson and Fallon Fotaras. The team won the inner-west zone and next term will be playing in the first round of finals.This is the first year Wyvern has made it through to the regional finals. A big thank you to Mrs Ryan for supporting us, encouraging us, and co-ordinating the teams.
