Kindy Pirate Day
During week 4 Kindy was overrun with Pirates – did you see the skull and cross bones flag flying high? As part of our Phonemic Awareness Program, Kindy continued the long Wyvern tradition of the annual “Pirate, Peter Pan and Popcorn Day.”
The boys all dressed up as pirates with stripes a plenty and even a few parrots and sea gulls were seen on shoulders. We listened to pirate stories, did some pirate themed writing and measured our pirate accessories with blocks. The day was topped off by a popcorn feast whilst watching the most famous Pirate of them all – Peter Pan.
Captains Lewandowski and Vuong wish to thank Mr Holden and Ms Gray for their support on this great day and all the parents for so willingly getting into the spirit and dressing their mini pirates with such style.
