Kindy Pirate Day
During Week 4 down near the Kindy classrooms, the cross and skullbone flag was flying high. We could hear the cries of “Aargh!” and “Ahoy me hearties!” which were loud and very scary.
As part of our Phonemic Awareness Program, Kindy participated in our annual “Pirates, Peter Pan and Popcorn Day.”
The boys in KW & KB were dressed up as pirates with beards, eye patches and hats. The little pirates completed some pirate writing and pirate maths. Then we listened to a story about “Pirate Piggly Wiggly” and we played a pirate game. We then watched one of the most famous pirates of all in Peter Pan. We enjoyed eating our popcorn whilst watching Captain Hook and the other pirates.
Kindy has decided that they would like Mr Holden to include an eye-patch with our uniforms. ARGHHHH!!!
