Hello!

Please come to our Term 3 P&F meeting, from 7.00pm – 8.30pm tonight. We only have one each term and it’s a great way to catch up on what’s going on at school. We will have a pizza treat for everyone and supervision for children with play on the rooftop playground to save you the angst of organising childcare.

This term Jacqui Van der Velde-Gilbert, Secretary of the NSW Parents’ Council, will come along to discuss what this organisation does for parents and how it operates. Mr Holden will provide an update about school activity, share some news and be open for questions from the floor.

I’m also very excited that the National Children’s Commissioner from the Australian Human Rights Commission can attend our P&F meeting on Thursday, 16 October. Ms Megan Mitchell was formerly the NSW Children’s Commissioner and is the first person appointed to the new national role. Ms Mitchell is currently conducting a national enquiry into intentional self-harm and suicidal behaviour in children and has agreed to present some early findings, tell us about her role and responsibilities as an advocate for children’s rights and take questions from the audience.

K-2 is kicking off our trio of camps on 22-24 August, followed by Years 3-5 on 12-14 September and Year 6 with its own camp closing out the year and celebrating the end of an era from 28-30 November (details will be on SPACES soon).

And of, course, in between these camps is the Father’s Day Breakfast and a small selection of gifts so that the boys can bring something home for dad from school.
