Enjoy the Holidays

Another busy week at Wyvern! Year 6 went to Canberra and the K-2 Athletes Carnival was fun for all involved. Thanks to the staff and parents that helped for a fun filled day at the senior school.

Father’s Day breakfast was a HUGE success with over 300 fathers, grandfathers, uncles and boys involved in the morning. Big thanks to the Year 2 parents involved in the setup of the morning and also to Lote Tuqiri for giving up his time. It is always a good sign that everyone enjoyed breakfast when all the Bacon and Egg Muffins are eaten quicker than the fruit salad! This event and many other events are brought to you at no charge by the Wyvern P&F so we can enjoy the social side of the school. I thank everyone for being involved in all of our events.

In Term 4 we will see the Aquatics Program in action. All students will require:

Swimmers – Black with Newington
Goggles – purchase your own
Towel – bring your own
Small bag to place all wet items in – Haversack available at the Uniform Shop

Term 4 will see the boys wearing their full summer uniform which consists of a short sleeve shirt, grey shorts and a black jumper for cooler days. All these items are available from the Uniform Shop. Please check your uniform supplies before we go on school holidays so that you are ready for the first day back in Term 4.

Help in the Uniform Shop

On Wednesday 19 September, we are conducting our annual stocktake. If anyone could be of assistance from 8.00am until 12.00 noon please come along and we can give you a box to count. Please email your times available to djgigg@gmail.com. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

3-6 Father & Son Camp

Only 1 week away until the 3-6 Father & Son Camp
Friday 21 September until Sunday 23 September
No school on Friday will make for an easy “get away” for the fathers and sons (and an easier get away for the rest of the family).
Information packs will be provided in the upcoming week for those who have confirmed and paid.
Don’t forget, the Newington travel bag has been reduced to $40 from $66, be quick. Available at the Uniform Shop.
