Year 1 Excursion to The Sydney Children’s Hospital Randwick
Last Tuesday 8th March, Year 1 went on an excursion to The Sydney Children’s Hospital in Randwick to support our unit ‘People and Places’. With much excitement, the boys explored different areas of the hospital and participated in various presentations from people who work at the hospital. The boys listened to a Doctor and Child Support Therapist, used a stethoscope to hear each other’s heartbeat, sat in the X-Ray room, walked around the Fairy Garden and played in the Starlight Room. They listened carefully to a nutritionist, had a healthy morning tea, went in the hospital classroom and the physiotherapy room. The boys discovered a lot of new things and asked lots of thoughtful and sensible questions. Their first big school bus ride was definitely a highlight for them.
