Last Thursday Year 4 were treated to a Car Art incursion at the senior school. Students looked and discussed the Richard Goodwin sculpture- “Carapace”, then were excited to see 3 sports cars – a Maserati, Lotus and MX5. These cars were graciously donated for the day so the students could get up close and observe all the details on these amazing cars. It was interesting to see the differences in shapes and lines. Year 4 will complete an artwork using these drawings as inspiration. This drawing session links into the topic of “Simple Machines”.
