On Wednesday the 10th of June our Year 6 men were invited across to the Stanmore campus for ‘Experience Year 7 Day’.

We were joined by our Year 6 Lindfield brothers and an array of high school staff. The day was an exciting opportunity for our young men to learn new skills, understand the expectations of the high school and meet friends.

We began the day with some informative talks about Growth and Positive mindsets, co-curricular options and the opportunities that being part of the high school will include. The attention-grabbing experiences continued after recess with collaborative music lessons, introductions to Commerce and Drama, as well as, constructing Science experiments in the labs. Making ice cream was a big hit among the boys. In an action-packed day our young men even managed to squeeze in a full school assembly and fire drill!

The excitement such a day generates reveals to us that our young men are growing up quickly, and that the job our Wyvern House teachers are doing is preparing them well for a great future at the senior school.
