It is the end of an era for another Newington College year 12 Senior Class. As they receive parting words of wisdom and say farewell to the school, it is a time of reflection on the things they have achieved and the friendships they have built. Many mates will pursue different paths, but there are four boys who will always be together at Newington after their parents surprised them with a seat dedication in our new Drama Theatre.

Senior Prefect Jack Jacobs (ON 2016), Jacob Turl (ON 2016), Terry Christoforou (ON 2016) and Leon Vitogiannis (ON 2016) always chose to sit together in the back row of the Old Boys Lecture Theatre during their time at the College. Now, in the back row of the Drama Theatre are four seats dedicated with the names of these four mates. This seat dedication will create an enduring legacy and regardless of where the future takes these boys, they will always be together at Newington.

The family of Senior Prefect Jack Jacobs (ON 2016) has also sponsored a seat in the Old Boys Lecture Theatre in Jack’s name. This follows the sponsoring of a seat by the family of 2015 Senior Prefect Saahil Parekh. We are hoping that George Long (ON 1980), father of 2017 Senior Prefect Mitchell Long will keep this tradition going.
