Honouring an Old Newingtonian

The Rugby community of southern California, have honoured Old Boy Karl Terrey (ON 1980) by establishing the Karl Terrey Cup.  Karl began the San Clemente Youth Rugby at Concordia Elementary School in 2004 with ten players.  Due to his efforts the sport has now grown with an established competition and today the San Clemente Youth Rugby boasts over 180 players.

Congratulations

Olivier Dumas (ON 2013) competed in the 2017 Penn Mutual Varsity Cup National Championship, 6 May 2017.  The Varsity Cup is America’s top collegiate postseason championship. Olivier who is Lock for UC – Berkeley (CalBears) defeated Arkansas State (43-13) at Santa Clara University. It is the second year in a row that CAL, with Olivier on the team, has won the Cup. The win was the 32nd overall National Championship for CalBears.
