Short-Track National Champion
Last weekend Keanu Blunden (8/JN) (pictured above) was successful in defending his National Champion title at the 2012 Short Track Australian Open Championship. Keanu competed against skaters from three countries: Australia, New Zealand and Malaysia. He has now won the National Champion title for the third consecutive year in his age division. He also contested in the Senior Men Relay and came home with a silver medal.
Over the weekend, Keanu broke his own record for the 333m with 31.39 seconds, almost 1.5 seconds off his former record from October 2011. Congratulations Keanu, we look forward to hearing about your races in the Star Class competitions, held throughout December and January in Munich and Amsterdam.
All Stars Success
Congratulations to James Gorgovski (7/LE) who played as part of the victorious NSW Metro State team at the U13’s National Football Titles at Coffs Harbour. James has since been selected to play in the National All Stars team as an attacking mid-fielder. Well done James!
