Garage Sale
On Sunday 5 May, we (Nilanka Abbey and Harry L’Orange) had a garage sale to raise money for Liam Knight. We sold old toys, books and household items, and had a homemade cake stall and sausage sizzle. We made $896 and 40% was given to Liam and the balance was divided between ourselves. The reason why we gave the money to Liam was because at his friends 17th birthday party he was injured by gate crashers. They threw a pole which hit Liam in the head and he was in hospital for a long time with a very severe head injury. Thankfully Liam is making a good recovery now. Liam’s brother and his wife came to our sale. The garage sale was a great success and we all had lots of fun.
